The welder-assembler

At PMB, the welder-assembler contributes to the success of his or her department, the company and our customers by performing the following tasks:

• Read and interpret customer drawings and the welding symbols they contain;
• Welding customer parts to required specifications;
• Increased knowledge of TIG welding (GTAW) on aluminum mandatory;
• Knowledge of pulsed MIG welding (GMAW-P) on aluminum a strong asset;
• Inspect all welds;
• Ensure compliance with plant procedures;
• Use welding tools such as bending machines, grinders, etc;
• Suggest improvements to working methods and tools in the department.

Required for the position:

• DEP in welding and assembly completed;
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with aluminum;
• CWB 4-position certifications a strong asset. (Qualifications will be required at a later date).

Schedule: Daytime, over 4, 4½ or 5 days, to be discussed upon hiring. 40-hour work week.
Salary : To be determined between $24.41 and $35.56/hour
