Press brake operator
At PMB, reporting to the departmental leader, the press brake operator plays a key role in the department’s performance, the quality of products delivered and customer satisfaction. He/she is responsible for the precise bending of metal parts, in strict compliance with established tolerances, quality standards and aesthetic criteria.
The operator works closely with the sorting and welding departments to ensure smooth operations and an efficient manufacturing process. Depending on operational needs, he/she may also be called upon to assist other departments, demonstrating versatility and team spirit.
Main duties and responsibilities :
- Read, interpret and understand technical drawings and specifications;
- Select appropriate tools and perform press brake setups;
- Operate the press brake to produce parts in accordance with quality, precision and time requirements;
- Inspect the parts produced and ensure quality control;
- Palletize and arrange parts according to required methods, based on the needs of internal and external customers;
- Comply with health and safety procedures and operational standards;
- Contribute to the department’s continuous improvement initiatives;
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment.

- Solid skills in applied mathematics;
- Good understanding of deformation principles and material properties;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Constant attention to detail and quality of work;
- Ability to work standing up for long periods;
- Lifting capacity up to 50 lbs;
- Autonomy, rigor and team spirit.
This position requires training in precision sheet metal work or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in bending.

Daytime schedule: 40 hours, 4 or 5 days a week (Friday mandatory).
Salary: To be determined, between $23.88 and $32.85/hour
