What is a typical work schedule at PMB?

We work between 4, 4½ and 5 days a week, depending on the needs of the company and their family reality. The 40-hour week in 4 working days is very common in our teams. We have day and evening shifts. We are closed on weekends to offer our team quality of life.

Is your plant clean and safe?

You bet! For a metal processing plant, it doesn’t get much cleaner than this. It’s a real source of pride at PMB! On the safety front, we’re members of a prevention mutual that pushes us to always be better.

Is it human at PMB?

We are a liberated team with an average of 110 employees.

Are the jobs permanent?

With the exception of very specific sporadic needs, our jobs are permanent and full-time. Part-time work is possible if the need arises.

What vacation options are available?

We follow the Commission de la construction du Québec calendar. So we’re on vacation for 2 weeks in the summer and 2 weeks during the winter holidays.

Are your salaries competitive?

Absolutely! The salary range is always posted with our offers. What’s more, we regularly review our salary range to ensure we’re in line with industry standards.

What about retirement? Is there a pension fund, RRSP or other program offered by the employer?

PMB offers a profit-sharing program. The two owners share 20% of the net profit with the employees who worked during the fiscal year in question. It’s the same amount for everyone: you win as a team or you lose as a team!

How do salary increases work?

In two ways. An annual individual assessment based on know-how and interpersonal skills. And another based on inflation in the Chaudière-Appalaches region over a given period.

Can I apply for a job if I don’t live in Canada?

No, we do not recruit internationally. However, it is possible to apply if you hold a valid Canadian work permit.

What is a liberated company?

A liberated company works with employees who take individual initiatives. rather than obeying managerial decisions. All employees are then free to speak up, and don’t have to respond to a classic pyramid system.

What type of hierarchy does PMB offer?

In fact, there are very few of them. The hierarchy is flattened as much as possible to allow maximum accessibility between all colleagues (management included).

Is it difficult to evolve in a liberated company?

Yes and no. It’s a complex question to answer, but there’s a clear concept to understand. In a liberated company, you have to take responsibility for yourself and make sure you see your projects through to completion. This requires healthy, respectful discussions between colleagues, even when there is friction or conflict.

What are the advantages of unrestricted management?

This creates a proud, close-knit team and a healthy working atmosphere. It develops an agile structure that constantly reinvents itself, while enabling innovative and creative teams. In short, it boosts employee performance and well-being.

What does PMB offer that other companies don’t?

At PMB, transparency and access to information are paramount. Every month, financial figures are presented to all employees, even the bottom line (net profit)! No hiding place!
