Interview with Maryline Pineault, expedition laborer.
This interview “Welcoming PMB” was conducted with the Human Development Department (DH, not RH 😉). Maryline’s answers have been transcribed verbatim.
What motivated you to apply to PMB?
Following the loss of my job, I wanted to find a place that was easy to get to, with no traffic and the possibility of working 40 hours on a schedule that suited me. And I must admit, I was intrigued by the idea of a free enterprise.
After thinking about the many and varied proposals from employers, why did you choose PMB?
After the telephone interview, I liked the dynamism that was emerging and I was very keen to go further in the process. The on-site interview confirmed my choice: a relaxed atmosphere, super-friendly people and teamwork.
At first glance, what did the “liberated enterprise” model inspire you to do?
No pressure! To be able to express our opinions and participate in our department’s decisions to ensure that things run more smoothly.
What was the hiring and integration process like at PMB?
Super warm welcome, great support, no judgement, no pressure!
Since you started at PMB, what’s your general impression and how do you feel at work?
It’s a great place to work, with people who really want to be there! Everyone greets each other in the morning and evening. I’m proud to be part of a team that has won 3 trophies!
What is your impression of the employment model and the first 3-month evaluation to adjust the position on the salary scale?
When you arrive with some experience, time to prove yourself, and it’s not too long before the steps on the ladder can be climbed.
On a slightly more personal note, what is your impression of the welcome you’ve received as a woman in a manufacturing industry?
Women are welcome everywhere. Of course, we have to know ourselves, what we’re capable of and what we can do. If you respect yourself, the world around you will respect you. In 2022, there’s hardly any prejudice, especially not here at PMB.
If you had any advice for people who are reluctant to apply for a job or who are wary of PMB’s liberated model, what would you tell them?
If they’re the least bit curious about this way of doing things, GO, go for it and come and get more information. I don’t regret it at all.
